Unlike an ‘Audible Only’ system, a ‘Monitored’ Intruder Alarm System benefits from Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) monitoring. Upon the activation of your intruder alarm system the ARC will respond to the corresponding signal received and call a key holder, Police or Fire Brigade depending on the signal received.

Monitored Intruder Alarm systems are generally, but not always, requested by insurance companies and are to offer immediate notification of an activation and/or fault in an effort to prevent or limit loss or damage.

With current technology and dependant on the manufacturer of the system installed, it is possible to control your intruder alarm system remotely from an application installed on a table or smartphone. The system can generate ‘push notifications’ that will notify you when the system is armed, disarmed or activated. A Wi-Fi or SIM connection would be required by the alarm system and tablet and/or smartphone.
